关于“as confidential“的用法

原句是这样的：$ n, A' f# E3 |" e2 B ]0 i- @% c( `
　　Any information that you may give us will be regarded as confidencial.
　请问　这里的confidencial为什么不是confidence呢？as 在这里是什么用法？

我知道confidential 是机密的意思，但是这是个形容词，为什么出现在as 后面呢？

被认为是机密的3 [, t) x! o! S9 I, e

be regarded as后面可以加形容词啊
