October 4th, it is perhaps one of the least celebrated, but the most important anniversary on the history of science. It was on that day 1836, Charles Darwin returned to his family home in England after five years of on the edge of Amass Bengal. In the introduction of origin of species, he notes how scratch he was about the plants and animals he saw in South America, and by whether they might help to solve the mystery how the animals came into being. It then shared this so straight-forward, and yet co-finds thought, "When I return home, it is curt to me in 1837, something might perhaps be on this question, by patiently accumulating and reflecting and also its facts, which could possibly have bearing on it." In other words, I might gather as much information as I possibly can, and think about very deeply for a long time. Twenty three years pass beween Darwin's return from sea and the publication of the world shacking book. The ocean voyage are crucial foundation, but the long intellectual voyage of the theory of evolution truly began when Darwin got back home.
