"Never give up" expresses the same meaning of tenacity, this is the quotation from Churchill's famous  speech: Never, Never give up, delivered near the end of the World War Two. After the speech, the British and people in many other countries were tremendously encouraged, and finally went through the hardest period of human history.
"Never, Never give up" represents a strong and positive life attitude. Some people are always ready to quit when they feel that they can not bear the difficulties in finishing the task or they can not figure out a way to solve the required task. Actually, most of them can achieve their goals just by simply trying again or more times. For instance, when we acquire the second language, many people fail is simply because they have given up. Acquiring the second language might be the easiest task among many diverse academic curricula, because we can learn it just by plain repetition, though it is painstaking and time-consuming.

The fact that we failed in somewhere does not mean that we will fail in everywhere, and especially does not mean that we can not win in the same place. If you can have "never give up", it always means that the second chance is coming and you can finally achieve your goal. Take Abraham Lincoln, one of the most famous presidents of America, as example, he tried be in government several time and lost several elections before he finally won and became the president. Why he could win? Because he never gave up after the losses. Therefore he could achieve his goal eventually.
Psychology teaches us that we can get what we want, if we exactly know what we want and it is reasonable. First of all, we must make sure that our clearly defined goal is reasonable, and that our carefully designed means is practicable. If our goal is unrealistic, such as being a millionaire in a year, we will get nothing. But if we want to acquire a second language, it is both realistic and reasonable. By careful planning and relative persistence we have no reason to fail. And numerous examples have shown that even if the plan is problematic, if we are tenacious, many still finally attain great achievement. Therefore, "Never give up" is something that we should always be bear in mind.
